Syrlybek Bekbotayev
Solo Show "Rhythm of the Silence”, 2015
Esentai Gallery (Almaty, KZ)
The exhibition delves into philosophical, socio-political, and environmental themes through photo and video art, and installation.
By blending the past and present and reconstructing the mental horizon of nomadic reality, Bekbotayev makes it relevant in the modern world.
Central to the exhibition is the image of the cradle, symbolizing the existential beginning of human civilization. This concept emphasizes that the present is shaped by the past, and tradition is integral to any culture. Beyond its ontological and socio-political dimensions, "Rhythm of the Silence" also raises environmental awareness, urging us to reflect on how we treat our motherland.
The cradle, as an art object, points to the ongoing birth and rebirth of human thought, embodying the eternal rhythm of peace and silence.
